In this role, you will learn and perform MIG welding, material preparation, assembly, and fabrication tasks in a fast-paced production environment while maintaining high standards of quality and safety. Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and job specifications
- Measure, cut, and prepare materials according to production requirements
- Perform MIG welding and Flux-Cored (Dual Shield) welding as needed
- Assemble metal components accurately and efficiently
- Inspect completed welds to ensure quality and dimensional accuracy
- Operate hand and power tools, including 4-inch and 9-inch grinders
- Prepare work surfaces for safe and effective welding operations
- Maintain and clean welding equipment and work areas
- Follow all company safety procedures and PPE requirements
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free workspace
- Meet production goals while maintaining quality standards
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous welding training, vocational education, or welding experience
- 6+ months of Flux-Cored (Dual Shield) welding experience
Required Skills
- Ability to read blueprints and job specifications
- Ability to accurately read a tape measure
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Dependable, reliable, and safety-focused mindset
- Willingness to learn new skills and follow established processes
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 70 pounds
- Ability to stand, bend, reach, and perform manual labor throughout the shift
- Ability to safely wear required PPE
- Sufficient vision and hearing to safely perform job duties and identify workplace hazards
