Social Scene has been putting Chicago in a room together since 2010. Sixteen years, more than 500 events, and over 20,000 people through our Halloween crawls alone. This year Halloween is 3 nights, October 29, 30 and 31, across 4 neighborhoods, and we are hiring Chicagoland people to work it.
The shift: check-in and wristbands at the venue door, pointing people to the next stop, answering questions, and keeping the energy up. About 5 hours a night. You can work one night or all three.
The sharing side: before the event you post once about the crawl on your own Instagram or TikTok, in your own voice. No script. You include a tracking link and a discount code we provide. It takes about 2 minutes and it is part of the role rather than extra work on top.
Pay: $20.00 per hour for the shift. There is also a performance bonus of 50% of the ticket revenue tracked to your link or code, paid within 7 days of the event. Eventbrite fees are not included in that figure. You also get a 3 Day Pass, yours to use or give to a friend.
What we are looking for: you are 21 or over, you are in Chicagoland, and you have at least 500 followers on Instagram or TikTok with Chicago in your top follower cities. Include your handle and a screenshot of your own analytics with your follower count and top cities visible.
We already know how to fill these rooms. What we are after now is new rooms, new circles, people who have not come out with us yet. This is Chicago, in person, for people who actually go out here.
