Facility:This regional medical center serves as a cornerstone of healthcare for the surrounding community, offering a full-service emergency department with 22 beds and robust support services including anesthesia, general surgery, orthopedic surgery, and radiology available 24 hours a day. The facility operates an open ICU model and maintains an annual emergency patient volume of approximately 32,000 visits, providing a dynamic and well-supported clinical environment.
Opportunity:Physician (MD) - Emergency Medicine
Job Details:- Provide standard solo emergency room coverage for 12-hour shifts
- Physicians typically see 18-20 patients per 12-hour shift with a daily department volume of 90-100 patients
- Work alongside 2 mid-level providers in a split coverage model
- Provider must be NC Medicaid credentialed and enrolled in PECOS prior to submission
- Must hold an active NC license or IMLC licensure
- Board certification required (minimum certified)
- EMR system: Meditech 6.1
- 22-bed emergency department with open ICU
- Hospital-owned apartments provided for housing
- Credentialing timeframe approximately 14 days
- Locum Tenens engagement with shifts available starting 11/27
