PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE
  • Hospital Privileges Required: Yes - must have active NC state license and board certification in hand.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Board: BC/BE in Emergency Medicine (ABEM/AOBEM) - only accepting ABEM and AOBEM, not FP/IM MD.
  • Licenses: Active North Carolina medical license (or IMLC combined license), active DEA with NC address.
  • DEA / CDS: Active DEA with NC address required.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of EM experience within the past 3 years, or completion of EM residency within the past 2 years.
  • Other Qualifications: CME documentation for past 2 years, copy of driver's license, medical diploma, intern/residency certificates, board certification.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide emergency department coverage during assigned shifts (7a-7p, 3p-1a, 7p-7a).
  • Evaluate and manage patients presenting with a wide range of acute medical conditions.
  • Perform emergency procedures as required.
  • Collaborate with advanced practice providers (NPPA) and nursing staff.
  • Ensure timely and accurate documentation of patient encounters.
