Opportunity:
Physician Assistant - Surgery Cardiothoracic
Job Details:
- Provide coverage 4 days per month, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM plus call from 3:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- Manage 10-15 CVICU/step-down patients per day plus 1-2 surgeries
- Work within the Cardiothoracic Surgery department in a hospital setting
- Support staff includes a supervising surgeon
- Patient population consists of adult and geriatric patients
- Utilize Cerner EMR system
- Perform special procedures including temporary pacemaker removal, chest tube removal, IABP removal, and arterial line placement
- Must be proficient with Endoscopic Vessel Harvesting (EVH)
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in cardiothoracic surgery with EVH required
- Board certification as a Physician Assistant required
- Active Arizona license required at time of submission
- DEA required
- ACLS and BLS (American Heart Association) certification required
- Must be a graduate of a university program approved by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
