Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) School-Based Location: Region 9 Member School Districts, New Mexico Work Setting: School-Based, In-Person Schedule: Full-Time, School Hours Contract: 1-Year Initial Contract with Potential Renewals Up to 4 Years Position Overview We are seeking a qualified Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide in-person speech and language services to students within Region 9 member school districts in New Mexico. Responsibilities -Provide speech and language therapy services within the scope of professional licensure. -Conduct speech, language, and communication evaluations and assessments. -Prepare comprehensive written evaluation reports. -Participate in the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). -Attend IEP meetings and collaborate with students, parents, teachers, and other professionals. -Provide therapy services according to the frequency and intensity outlined in each student's IEP. -Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services provided. Attend required Region 9 and school district meetings. -Communicate effectively with students, parents, colleagues, and agency personnel. -Maintain confidentiality of student and personnel information. -Comply with FERPA, HIPAA, applicable New Mexico regulations, and professional standards. -Maintain all required professional and educational licenses. Minimum Qualifications -Qualified Speech Language Pathologist (SLP). -Current New Mexico professional SLP license required. -Current New Mexico Public Education Department (NM PED) license required. -Ability to provide services in person. -Ability to conduct therapy evaluations and prepare written reports. -Ability to participate in IEP development and meetings. -Strong communication and interpersonal skills. -Ability to successfully complete required background checks. -Ability to comply with confidentiality and applicable federal and state requirements. -Bilingual proficiency is preferred but not required.
