JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Board: BC/BE in Emergency Medicine (ABEM, AOBEM) or Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, General Surgery (ABFM, ABIM, ABPS accepted case-by-case)
  • Licenses: Active Kentucky state license and Kentucky DEA required
  • DEA / CDS: Active DEA with Kentucky address required
  • Certifications: ATLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS required
  • Experience: Must have completed a 12-month internship and at least 5 years of Emergency Medicine experience, or be enrolled in an approved residency program
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide comprehensive emergency medical care to patients presenting to the ED.
  • Manage acute medical and trauma cases, including resuscitation and stabilization.
  • Perform emergency procedures as required (e.g., laceration repair, splinting, intubation).
  • Collaborate with nursing and support staff to ensure efficient patient flow and care.
  • Document patient encounters and medical decisions accurately in T-sheets EMR.
