Responsibilities and Practice Details:
Work Schedule:
- 5x8 hour shifts or 4x10 hour shifts per week
- No call required for locums during day shifts
- In-house call from 2:30 PM to 7:15 AM
- Coverage needed Monday through Sunday, including holidays
- Preference for full-time availability; minimum two-week availability required
Patient Demographics:
- Patients aged 1 year and older
- All cases are general anesthesia; no cardiac cases or sedation-only cases
Support Staff:
- Anesthesiologists
- LPNs
- Nursing staff
- Administrative support
- Anesthesia techs
- 3 Nurse Practitioners
Additional Information:
- The role involves managing one's own cases, with no supervision preferred
- Must have recent experience in acute care hospitals, not primarily Ambulatory Surgery Centers (ASCs)
- Experience with the Epic EMR system is required
- Must have a clean malpractice history and no adverse entries in the National Practitioner Data Bank (NPDB)
