Overview In this Senior Financial Analyst role, you will drive financial planning, forecasting, and analysis for Abbott Vascular in Temecula. You will partner with cross-functional teams to translate performance data into actionable insights and support strategic decisions. You'll model scenarios, evaluate opportunities, and help shape budgeting and month-end processes. Responsibilities- Develop detailed financial forecasts using historical, trend, and current performance data
- Monitor spending against budget and highlight material variances
- Prepare journal entries and assist month-end close at the functional level
- Create and distribute financial reports and performance analyses
- Perform financial analyses and recommend alternatives using tools like EVA and NPV
- Model new business opportunities, acquisitions, and product/tax initiatives
- Conduct sensitivity analyses to assess revenue, expenses, and profitability
- Develop and implement sound financial processes
- Build and leverage networks to support assignments; may lead projects and mentor staff
- Plan and organize non-routine tasks and set work priorities
- Exercise judgment to devise practical solutions, with significant impact on resources
- Operate with minimal supervision and deliver results on completion
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
- 4+ years of experience in month-end close, variance analysis, and forecasting
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
