Highway Construction Laborer

Working alongside heavy equipment operators, engineers, and paving specialists, you will execute high-energy earthmoving, precision concrete placement, and advanced roadway construction. Core Responsibilities & Field Operations

Precision Roadway & Concrete Operations: Set up forms, pour, rake, smooth, and finish concrete and asphalt structures including highways, bridges, curbs, and drainage infrastructure.

Power Tool & Equipment Mastery: Operate pneumatic tools, jackhammers, concrete saws, tampers, compactors, and survey lasers with precision and safety.

Dynamic Site Staging: Prepare and secure active construction zones, place traffic control signage and safety barricades, and guide heavy equipment in high-volume traffic corridors.

Civil Earthwork & Utility Integration: Excavate trenches, lay drainage pipe, grade aggregate bases, and assemble structural rebar or guardrail systems.

Tactical Team Coordination: Maintain real-time communication with machine operators, spotters, and inspectors to ensure maximum efficiency and zero-accident work zones.

Qualifications & Skill Set

Experience Level: Entry-level to 2+ years of commercial, heavy civil, or road construction experience. High energy and willingness to learn required.


Must be able to lift 75LBS - 100LBS.

Education: High school diploma, GED, or vocational trade background preferred.

Certifications & Licenses: Valid Driver's License required (CDL Class A/B a major plus); OSHA 10-Hour Construction Safety Certification preferred (or willing to obtain).

Core Competencies: Highway guardrail - Strong spatial awareness, ability to read grade stakes and tape measures, and a relentless focus on team safety.
