We are a growing infusion pharmacy located in beautiful Kalispell, MT, specializing in both sterile (intravenous and injectable preparations) and non-sterile (including hormone replacement therapy, dermatological, and veterinary) compounding. Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our sterile compounding team. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in sterile environments, with a strong commitment to accuracy, cleanliness, and adherence to regulatory standards. There is a possibility of cross-training to non-sterile compounding at a later date.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare sterile compounded medications according to prescription orders, standard operating procedures and Montana and federal law.
- Maintain proper documentation in compliance with USP , and regulations.
- Ensure cleanliness and aseptic conditions in sterile compounding areas (cleanroom, laminar flow hoods).
- Accurately measure and mix ingredients using calibrated equipment.
- Package and label finished products with a high degree of precision.
- Assist in inventory control, ordering, and restocking of compounding supplies.
- Support pharmacists in daily operations and uphold a high standard of patient care and safety.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Willingness to obtain Montana Pharmacy Technician License.
- Ability to obtain National Pharmacy Technician certification (CPhT) in a reasonable time.
- Previous experience in sterile compounding highly preferred but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to aseptic technique.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions precisely.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Must be dependable, punctual, and a team player.
- Reliable transportation to and from work.
