Lead Commercial HVAC Projects Across DFW
Comfort Technologies is seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC Ductwork Foreman to lead installation crews on commercial HVAC projects throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
This is a hands-on field leadership position for an experienced commercial HVAC professional who can take ownership of a job, read plans, lay out ductwork, direct installers and helpers, coordinate with project management and other trades, and keep projects moving safely and efficiently.
We're looking for someone who doesn't just know how to install ductwork-you need to be able to run the work and lead a crew.
What You'll Do
- Lead commercial HVAC ductwork installation crews in the field.
- Plan and coordinate daily work activities for installers and helpers.
- Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings and project specifications.
- Lay out commercial ductwork systems based on project plans.
- Oversee and perform installation of rectangular, spiral and sheet metal duct systems.
- Assign work and provide direction to installers and helpers.
- Coordinate manpower, materials, tools and equipment needed to keep projects moving.
- Work closely with Project Managers, Superintendents and other trades.
- Identify field conflicts and communicate issues before they impact the schedule.
- Monitor installation quality and ensure work meets project specifications.
- Track job progress and communicate updates to project management.
- Train and mentor less-experienced installers.
- Maintain a clean, organized and safe jobsite.
- Ensure crews follow company and jobsite safety requirements.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of commercial HVAC ductwork/sheet metal installation experience preferred.
- Previous experience as an HVAC Foreman, Sheet Metal Foreman, Lead Installer or similar field leadership role.
- Strong commercial ductwork installation and layout experience.
- Ability to independently read and work from blueprints and mechanical drawings.
- Experience leading and directing commercial HVAC installation crews.
- Knowledge of rectangular, spiral and other commercial sheet metal duct systems.
- Ability to coordinate work with other trades on active construction sites.
- Strong communication, organization and problem-solving skills.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Safety-focused and committed to high-quality workmanship.
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work from ladders and lifts as required.
Schedule
- Typical project hours: 7:00 AM - 4:00/5:00 PM
- 40+ hours per week
- Overtime opportunities available.
- Some overnight projects may be required based on customer needs.
- Projects primarily throughout the DFW Metroplex.
