Associate, Infrastructure Project Advisory (Construction/Engineering)

Overview

In this role you help drive improvements in construction management for large capital projects within KPMG's Deal Advisory. You will work with cross-functional teams to review contracts, monitor progress, and implement policies that enhance controls and reporting. You'll analyze project performance and prepare client-ready deliverables, contributing to transformative advisory work. Responsibilities
  • Review and improve construction management processes and internal controls
  • Lead construction contract reviews, project oversight and monitoring for large capital projects
  • Define and implement policies, procedures, internal controls, and reporting structures
  • Conduct project reviews on percentage of completion, change orders, schedules, and productivity issues
  • Collaborate with engagement teams on field work, data collection, analysis, and documentation; prepare reports and presentations
  • Perform data-driven analysis using Excel, PowerPoint and visualization tools to deliver client-facing outputs
Key requirements
  • Minimum one year of field construction management or construction advisory experience on large capital projects for public and private clients
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field; professional certifications preferred (PE, PMP, CCM, CPA, AIA, etc.)
  • Demonstrated coordination and subcontractor management across full project lifecycle
  • Experience with project management tools like Procore, E-Builder, Primavera, Enterprise, Prolog
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, documentation, and records management skills
  • Willingness to travel; authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
