Epic Informatics Training Manager

Job description

Overview

In this role you lead the Epic training program for a pediatric health system, shaping curricula and materials for EHR education and go-lives. You'll coordinate training schedules, develop supplemental Epic and non-Epic content, and identify remedial training needs across users. You'll work remotely for Minnesota or Wisconsin residents, partnering with cross-functional teams to enable successful Epic implementation and ongoing user proficiency. This is a leadership role with a strong focus on project delivery, quality training, and user enablement.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the Epic training department and curriculum delivery
  • Develop Epic and supplementary training materials for EHR education
  • Coordinate EHR training schedules and go-live readiness
  • Create materials for EHR projects and go-lives
  • Identify and manage remedial training needs across all users
Key requirements
  • 3+ years of management experience
  • 5+ years of professional development/training experience
  • Strong facilitation, writing, communication, and project management skills
  • Deep understanding of hospital organizations and EPIC certification
  • Demonstrated project management skills with on-time goal achievement
  • Self-directed with strong organizational, writing, interpersonal, and presentation skills
  • Experience with instructor-led classroom training; Epic experience preferred
  • Healthcare IT environment or consulting experience preferred
  • Ability to mentor and coach direct reports
  • Flexibility to work nights/weekends
  • English communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree in education, instructional design, adult learning, organizational development, healthcare or equivalent
