Overview

In this role you will architect and simulate advanced DSP systems for high-speed data center interconnects. You'll research digital signal processing techniques for SerDes and optical channels, prototype algorithms for equalization and FEC, and validate DSP implementations with cross-team collaboration. You'll also model mixed-signal behavior and participate in chip bring-up in a fast-paced lab. This position shapes next-generation DSP architectures enabling AI and cloud infra.

Responsibilities
  • Architect and simulate advanced DSP systems, setting features, targets and specs for analog/digital design teams
  • Research DSP techniques for high-speed SerDes and optical channels
  • Prototype and evaluate algorithms for equalization, adaptation, and forward error correction (FEC)
  • Develop and validate DSP algorithms in C++, MATLAB, or Python within a simulation environment
  • Build bit-true models of DSP architectures and collaborate with design/verification teams
  • Develop/perform behavioral modeling of mixed-signal circuits for transceivers
  • Participate in chip bring-up and lab validation of system behavior
Key requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related fields and 3-5+ years of related professional experience OR Master's degree and/or PhD with 2+ years of experience
  • Graduate coursework in Digital Signal Processing, Digital Communications, Information Theory, Coding Theory, Probability Theory
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; effective verbal and written communication
  • Proficiency in C++, MATLAB, or Python
  • Knowledge of optical components used in communication systems (lasers, modulators, filters, photodetectors, TIAs)
  • Experience in high-speed DSP (FFE/DFE, adaptive filters, CDR, FEC, ML sequence detection)
  • Experience with signal integrity and ADC-based wireline transceivers is a plus
