Overview In this role, you will help shape public finance solutions for Utah and the Intermountain West through strategic advisory work. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage municipal client relationships, develop and present financial analyses, and drive new business opportunities. You will lead project work from scoping to delivery, balancing client needs with deadlines and delivering clear, persuasive proposals. Responsibilities- Manage relationships with municipal clients and grow the book of business
- Develop and deliver financial analyses and models (Excel) for projects
- Plan, manage, and execute consulting projects from start to finish
- Prepare and present reports, proposals, and presentations (PowerPoint/InDesign)
- Collaborate with analysts, partners, and clients during projects; document objectives
- Monitor project progress and billings, including invoicing
- Lead and train analytical staff
- Travel as needed and support other duties as assigned
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field
- 2+ years of municipal consulting, planning, land development, local government administration, finance, accounting, marketing, public relations, or related field
- Strong understanding of local government operations and political structures
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical, quantitative, verbal, and written abilities; ability to convey complex financial concepts clearly
- Ability to manage multiple, deadline-driven projects and maintain attention to detail
- Independent work style with team orientation and leadership potential
- Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, Word; ability to learn additional finance software
