Overview In this role you will oversee the monthly close process and US GAAP reporting for the Life segment, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery. You will collaborate with local accounting teams, audit functions, and policy partners to strengthen controls and enhance reporting processes. You will tackle complex analyses and drive improvements that support senior leadership and regulatory compliance. Responsibilities- Manage monthly close calendar and coordinate with local accounting teams to ensure reporting deliverables are completed on time
- Review quarterly Internal Reporting Packages for consistency with US GAAP and corporate requirements
- Establish and maintain strong internal controls over financial reporting and support internal/external audits
- Support business initiatives by ensuring transactions are US GAAP compliant and by developing effective accounting/reporting processes
- Prepare ad-hoc financial analyses and investigate issues to propose well-reasoned solutions
- Evaluate closing processes to identify enhancements and practical solutions
Key requirements- Bachelor in Accounting
- Minimum 5 years of progressive financial accounting and reporting experience in an insurance organization (Life focus) with US GAAP expertise
- Experience in international insurance operations and/or public accounting is preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to collaborate across levels in a fast-paced matrix organization
- Flexibility to work with international teams across multiple time zones (APAC) and meet tight deadlines
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with high attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
