Overview

As VP, U.S. Sales you will lead the commercial sales strategy and execution across all U.S. channels to drive revenue growth and market Share. You will oversee senior sales leaders and account teams, shaping channel priorities and customer engagement with cross-functional partners to align pricing, contracting, and access. You will influence enterprise strategy with a focus on portfolio growth and profitability, while building a high-performance culture. This role offers impact at scale within embecta's North America business and strategic market expansion.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute the U.S. sales strategy to meet revenue, profit, and market share targets.
  • Lead annual and long-range planning, forecasting, and budget for the U.S. sales organization.
  • Define channel-specific engagement models across retail, wholesale, distributors, GPOs, long-term care, acute and post-acute care.
  • Identify market opportunities and evolving healthcare delivery trends to shape strategy.
  • Manage key customer relationships across all U.S. channels and strengthen executive-level partnerships.
  • Drive channel growth strategies to improve product availability, utilization, and customer satisfaction.
  • Oversee pipeline, performance metrics, and corrective actions; conduct business reviews with executives.
  • Partner with Marketing, Market Access, and Finance to align pricing, contracts, and forecasting.
  • Foster a high-performance sales culture and develop top commercial talent.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful execution of commitments and portfolio strategy.
Key requirements
  • Bachelor's degree, 15+ years in healthcare/pharma/biotech/medical devices
  • 8+ years of leadership experience managing large commercial teams
  • Proven success with national accounts, wholesalers, distributors, GPOs, and provider channels
  • Experience leading senior sales leaders and exceeding revenue targets
  • Experience in highly matrixed organizations with cross-functional collaboration
  • Strong negotiation, relationship management, and strategic account planning skills
  • Executive-level communication and ability to influence across leadership levels
