Associate Manager, Site Engineering

Overview

In this role you will lead capital equipment projects and manufacturing improvements to boost safety, quality, and productivity. You will partner with maintenance, operations, safety, L&D, and Lean teams to implement new and revised processes with precision. You'll identify losses, build capabilities, and apply new technologies to elevate site performance. This is a cross-functional, hands-on engineering leadership opportunity within a world class consumer goods company.

Responsibilities
  • Manage capital equipment projects from concept to startup
  • Develop project budgets and manage costs
  • Create equipment and process specifications using the SCJ engineering process
  • Drive cost-saving and productivity initiatives in existing processes and equipment
  • Collaborate with R&D, procurement and process development during NPD to align capabilities with manufacturing
  • Develop site standards and best practices for equipment and processes
  • Participate in capital planning and strategic equipment planning
  • Act as technical resource and mentor to peers
  • Ensure compliance with SCJ Global Standards and applicable regulations
Key requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related manufacturing/industrial discipline
  • Minimum 10 years' experience managing capital projects in manufacturing
  • Experience in consumer-packaged goods, food/beverage, chemical, or similar high-volume industries
  • Experience specifying custom equipment to meet objectives
  • Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Team leadership and mentoring
  • Collaborative cross-functional collaboration
  • Experience with filling, labeling, and packaging equipment for aerosol or liquid-container products
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in Wisconsin
  • Cost-estimating andBudgeting experience
