Human Resources Manager (Manufacturing)

Overview

In this role you will administer HR programs for the San Jose manufacturing site, ensuring current and future HR needs are met. You will align HR strategies with site managers and the overall HR framework, while ensuring policy compliance (EEO/ADA) and effective employee relations. You will lead recruitment, onboarding, investigations, and engagement initiatives, partnering with cross-functional leaders to drive a positive, compliant workplace. This is an opportunity to shape HR practices at scale within a global manufacturing organization.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor and implement HR policies and objectives
  • Recommend employee relations practices to maintain positive employer-employee relationships
  • Identify and ensure compliance with legal requirements and government reporting (EEO, ERISA, Wage & Hour)
  • Monitor company exposure and manage compliance information requests
  • Oversee termination recommendations
  • Define and execute HR programs and provide education/materials to management and staff
  • Oversee recruitment and onboarding to fill vacancies promptly and ensure compliant onboarding
  • Keep management informed of significant issues impacting objectives
  • Lead end-to-end employee investigations
  • Architect employee and community engagement strategies
  • Share best practices across facilities
  • May take on additional duties as assigned
Key requirements
  • 8-10+ years HR experience with some site leadership/people leadership
  • Manufacturing experience highly preferred
  • Bachelor in HR, Business, or related field; Master's preferred
  • Ability to present to top management and public groups
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and email
  • Willingness to travel at least quarterly
