Overview In this role, you will lead contractual strategy and guidance across a portfolio of Intelligence Community programs. You partner with program, capture, and business leaders to shape acquisition approaches and ensure compliant, favorable contract outcomes. You'll manage negotiations, risk, and stakeholder relationships to support mission-critical initiatives. This position offers deep exposure to national security programs and opportunities to influence contract processes and governance.
Responsibilities- Serve as lead contracts advisor for a portfolio of Intelligence Community programs, ensuring overall contract compliance per contract requirements, policy, and law
- Co-develop acquisition and contracting strategies with program, capture, and business leaders to enable growth and mission objectives
- Lead complex negotiations with government and industry partners to secure favorable outcomes while maintaining strong customer relations
- Identify, assess, and mitigate contractual, financial, and operational risks in line with regulations and policies
- Collaborate across Contracts, Finance, Legal, Procurement, and Program Management to resolve challenges and drive program execution
- Build trusted relationships with government contracting and program counterparts as the primary interface between Leidos and customers
- Mentor and develop contracts professionals and contribute to continuous improvement across the contracts function
Key requirements- BA degree with 12-15 years of relevant experience or Masters with 10-13 years of relevant experience
- Deep knowledge of government contracts, subcontracts, and proposal support, including diverse contract types
- Advanced knowledge of FAR/DFAR and the federal acquisition environment
- Ability to lead review of RFPs, prepare compliant Contracts Volumes, and OCI Plans
- Fast-paced environment adaptability and risk management experience
- Active TS/SCI-CI Poly; experience with classified contracts and sensitive programs
- Strong negotiation skills for complex terms and conditions
