Overview In this role you will lead immunoassay development across the vaccine pipeline, providing technical leadership and hands-on execution. You will evaluate platforms, optimize assays, and guide lifecycle management of critical reagents and reference materials. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to strengthen analytical capabilities and support regulatory readiness. Responsibilities- Lead complex immunoassay development and platform evaluation across vaccine programs
- Develop fit-for-purpose assays for potency, identity, impurity, and stability
- Evaluate and compare immunoassay platforms (ELISA, MSD, bead-based, multiplex) and guide method selection
- Troubleshoot assay performance trends with data-driven approaches
- Contribute to immunoassay control strategies (reagents, reference materials, system suitability)
- Support outsourced immunoassay activities and vendor collaborations
- Author/review technical and regulatory-support documents
- Collaborate with multiple functions (Analytical Development, QC, Regulatory, Manufacturing, Program Management)
- Stay current with emerging immunoassay technologies and automation opportunities
- Provide senior technical guidance to scientists and maintain rigorous data integrity and documentation
Key requirements- PhD-level degree or equivalent with extensive biopharmaceutical immunoassay experience
- Hands-on experience developing, transferring, and sustaining immunoassays in regulated environments
- Deep knowledge of immunoassay design, reagent strategies, and robustness assessment
- Proficiency with ligand-binding platforms (ELISA, MSD, electrochemiluminescence, bead-based, multiplex)
- Ability to independently design experiments, interpret complex data, and make scientific recommendations
- Experience supporting GMP-regulated analytical workflows and regulatory submissions desired
- Mentoring ability and clear scientific communication skills
- Experience with outsourced immunoassay activities and cross-functional collaboration
- Experience with conjugated vaccines or complex biologics preferred
- Preferred: automation, high-throughput immunoassay workflows, LIMS/ELN knowledge
