Overview As Lab Manager in Anduril's Space Manufacturing, you will oversee three sites for spaceflight hardware assembly, integration, and test. You ensure cleanroom discipline, safety, and facility readiness while managing materials flow and equipment uptime. You'll lead a site support team now and grow it, acting hands-on in a fast-paced, production-oriented environment. Your work directly supports scalable aerospace manufacturing and contamination-control across multiple locations. Responsibilities- Oversee day-to-day lab operations across three sites for spaceflight hardware build and test
- Build, direct, and mentor site support teams (contamination-control, facilities/maintenance, lab technicians)
- Act as working manager with hands-on facility, cleanroom, and equipment duties while scaling the team
- Serve as primary facilities contact for each location (maintenance, moves, vendor coordination)
- Own contamination-control programs for ISO 5-8 cleanrooms (gowning, monitoring, certification, consumables)
- Coordinate cleanroom and facility systems (AHUs, environmental monitoring, gases) with vendors and facilities
- Act as day-to-day safety point of contact; manage hazardous-material and gas handling
- Manage lab assets, calibration/metrology scheduling, preventive maintenance, and material flow
- Develop lab standards and documentation to keep spaces audit-ready
- Plan and execute transitions to new facility phases, including space and staff needs
- Collaborate with AI&T, manufacturing engineering, and program teams to sequence work and maintain WIP
Key requirements- 5+ years operating or managing a manufacturing lab or cleanroom
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent hands-on experience
- 3+ years in ISO-classified cleanroom environment (ISO 5-8)
- 2+ years with cleanroom facility systems (HVAC/AHUs, monitoring, gowning, certification)
- Hands-on safety experience with hazardous materials and gas handling; 1+ year as safety point of contact
- Experience managing lab equipment and asset tracking across 50+ tools/assets
- Experience owning facilities readiness for 2+ labs or spaces; coordinating moves/new space
- 2+ years leading or mentoring a team; able to act as working manager on the floor
- Willing to work on-site full-time in a fast-paced hardware setting; cross-functional coordination
- Eligible to obtain and maintain active U.S. Secret security clearance
