Overview In this role you lead two major Central Texas infrastructure tunnel projects, serving as a senior client liaison and guiding multi-disciplinary teams through complex construction. You will focus on safety, quality, schedule, cost, and commissioning while coordinating with TXDOT and project stakeholders. The opportunity combines field leadership with design reviews, dewatering, TBM operations, and pump station interfaces to deliver critical infrastructure. You'll engage with clients and contractors to drive value and ensure on-time, on-budget delivery. Responsibilities- Direct and manage construction activities across two major projects, leading project managers, construction managers, and field staff.
- Provide senior leadership for a TBM tunnel project, coordinating underground excavation, tunnel construction, and support systems.
- Lead construction management for drainage tunnel pump station project, including design reviews and commissioning requirements.
- Serve as primary liaison among the client, designers, and AECOM, communicating progress, risks, and quality issues.
- Coordinate with TXDOT, contractors, and inspectors to resolve issues and align with standards.
- Ensure delivery in line with design, contract, budget, schedule, safety, and quality expectations.
- Oversee full construction lifecycle planning: pre-construction budgeting, procurement, start-up, commissioning, and closeout.
- Manage scheduling and interfaces between tunneling, pump stations, utilities, and surface works.
- Address value engineering, risks, changes, claims, and constructability concerns with clients and teams.
- Coordinate client maintenance and operational requirements to align with ongoing operations.
- Establish and maintain project controls for budget, schedule, cost forecasting, and risk.
- Provide mentoring to subordinate managers and lead a diverse construction team.
- Enforce safety, quality, and contractual obligations across project delivery.
- Support client engagement, reporting, issue resolution, and strategic decisions at senior level.
- Lead facility start-up, testing, commissioning, and transition to operations, resolving outstanding issues.
- Maintain fiscal responsibility and proactively manage financial performance, risks, and opportunities.
Key requirements- BA/BS + 10 years of relevant experience or equivalent
- Experience in tunnel and pump station construction or equivalent
