Overview As a Payroll Specialist in Gallagher's HR & OE practice, you will manage end-to-end payroll processes for clients, identify opportunities to improve payroll workflows, and ensure compliant, accurate payroll operations. You will build and maintain client relationships in a service-focused environment and manage multiple projects concurrently. You'll document standard payroll procedures, support payroll tax matters, and share best practices with clients. Responsibilities- Identify and recommend process improvements for payroll/HRIS to boost value and efficiency
- Build and maintain client relationships in a customer-centric environment
- Manage multiple projects/clients simultaneously with strong organization
- Create and document standard payroll processing procedures
- Work in a virtual team or autonomously to complete tasks accurately and efficiently
- Provide payroll compliance guidance and communicate best practices
- Prioritize meeting client deliverables and deadlines
Key requirements- Minimum of 5 years' experience in a payroll specialist or payroll administrator role
- Proficiency in Excel (formulas, Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP)
- Attention to detail and comfort with numbers
- Ability to operate in a highly confidential setting
- Experience with payroll taxes and quarterly/annual reconciliations; troubleshoot issues to root cause
