Overview Director of Data Analytics leads a 10+ person analytics team to advance the company's analytics strategy and capabilities. You will translate complex data into scalable reporting and actionable insights for executives and cross functional partners. You will shape the data strategy, mentor the team, and stay ahead of industry trends to continuously improve analytics capabilities. Responsibilities- Lead and manage a 10+ person analytics team, fostering innovation and excellence
- Develop and implement comprehensive data analytics strategies aligned with business goals
- Monetize the value of the enterprise data platform
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify data-driven opportunities for business solutions
- Oversee design, development, and maintenance of data models, dashboards, and reports
- Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and security across analytics platforms
- Partner with IT and data governance to set and maintain quality standards
- Provide actionable insights and recommendations to senior leadership
- Stay abreast of insurance industry trends and emerging data technologies
- Manage relationships with external vendors and partners
- Develop and monitor KPIs to measure analytics initiatives
- Mentor and develop team members; promote professional growth
- Participate in programs to increase data competency across divisional teams
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field; Master's degree preferred
- 8-10 years of experience in data analytics, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
- Experience in the insurance or risk management industry is preferred
- Proficiency in Python, R, SQL; visualization tools Tableau and Power BI
- Experience in cloud environments such as Snowflake
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to convey insights to non-technical stakeholders
