Position Title: Distribution & Environmental Safety Manager

Position Summary:
Oversee and direct all safety, health, and environmental (SHE) programs for distribution, ensuring OSHA/EPA/DOT/local compliance, minimizing incidents and environmental risk, and fostering a strong safety culture among staff, contractors and employees.
Responsibilities:
- Training and Culture: Develop safety training programs and foster safety-first work environment. Conduct frequent multi-site visits to audit operations, support field teams, and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Policy Development: Review and enforce comprehensive health and safety programs that align with federal, state, and local laws, such as OSHA, EPA and DOT regulations. Manage comprehensive SHE policies, SPCC frameworks, and emergency response plans to ensure organizational readiness.
- Incident Investigation: Execute rigorous hazard assessments including incident investigations utilizing root-cause analysis to mitigate workplace risks. serving as the primary liaison for emergency responders and regulatory agencies.
- Compliance and Reporting: Direct regulatory compliance by permitting across OSHA, EPA, and DOT jurisdictions, while managing external audits and inspections. Analyze safety metrics to generate executive reports and steer targeted corrective actions.
- Risk Management: Lead contractor and employee safety by administering specialized training programs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's in Safety/Environmental/Engineering/Supply Chain/Bus. Mgmt or equivalent. And/OR 5+ years in distribution/transportation or similar.
- Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, DOT, SPCC, HAZWOPER.
- Certifications preferred: COSS/CSP/HAZWOPER 40-hr.
- Valid driver's license with clear driving record
Compensation: $80,000-90,000 ; depending on experience
