Cardiothoracic Surgery Locums Job in Idaho 24-Hour Call Beginning October 12 - Ongoing Assignment

24 Hour On Call, 7am - 7am
Credentialing and privileging can be obtained in five days
Multiple facility assignment
Requirements
Must be available to cover significant shifts between October 12 - November 2
Active Idaho license
Clean background and no malpractice
Successful completion of an ACGME or AOA accredited residency and CT fellowship program
American Board of Surgery or American Board of Thoracic Surgery certification, or obtain certifications within 3 years of employment
Active ACLS
Required Procedures / Skills
Adult cardiac surgery
General thoracic surgery
Aortic dissection
CABG
Tube thoracostomy
Pericardial window
Thoracotomy lung resections and pneumonectomy
Heart valve repair/replacement surgery
Dissection
VA + VV ECMO placement
Assignment Details
TAVR and SAVR: Around 3 patient consults per day and 1-2 surgeries per day
CT surgery program includes 3 surgeons, 7 APPs, and 4 perfusionists working with an experienced staff on a dedicated floor with a 10-bed dedicated CVICU for prep and recovery and 16 Step-down beds
Patient population: Adult/Geriatric
1 CT Surgery dedicated OR
4 available PAs rotate to support surgeon in OR
CVOR contains 3 dedicated rooms
Surgeons performed over 400 heart surgeries and over 150 thoracic surgeries, including robotics, during the past fiscal year
Program participates in the STS Registry and benchmarks performance as part of its quality and outcomes improvement program
