Join Our Pediatric Emergency Medicine Team in Las Vegas!
We are seeking a full-time Pediatric Emergency Medicine Physician to join our reputable pediatric practice in Summerlin, a vibrant suburb of Las Vegas. The Children's Medical Center at Summerlin Hospital offers a unique opportunity to be part of a well-established Pediatric Hospitalist practice, providing comprehensive care in a supportive environment with full pediatric subspecialty support.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage a 34-bed pediatric floor with an average daily census of 24 patients.
- Provide care in a 12-bed PICU, covered by affiliated Pediatric Intensivists.
- Oversee the NICU and newborn nursery with the assistance of our neonatology team.
- Participate in rounding in the hospital, with the convenience of call from home.
- Deliver care within a dedicated Pediatric ED, equipped for emergencies.
- Engage in academic opportunities, teaching pediatric residents and medical students.
- Demonstrate current or recent in-patient hospital experience.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of current inpatient Hospitalist work experience is required.
- Open to experienced providers and recent graduate candidates who are Board Eligible within 5 years of eligibility.
- Ability to provide case logs from a hospital setting during the interview.
- Must not have lapsed Board Certification.
- No visa candidates or locums candidates will be accepted.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Truly Board Eligible (within 5 years of eligibility) or Board Certified in Pediatric Emergency Medicine - REQUIRED
- Nevada medical license (or willingness to obtain) - REQUIRED
- Clean malpractice/license history - HIGHLY PREFERRED
- DEA and CSR/CDS must be obtained prior to start - REQUIRED
