Overview In this role you design and optimize radiation therapy plans, ensure precise delivery, and uphold patient and staff safety. You work within the Medical Physics team to support the Radiation Oncology department and comply with safety programs and ethics. You provide ongoing physics support across instrumentation, calibration, treatment planning, dosimetry, radiation protection, and QA. This is a hands-on role that combines clinical expertise with safety and regulatory compliance to deliver high-quality patient care. You will collaborate with senior physicists and other team members to drive safe, effective radiotherapy outcomes.
Responsibilities- design optimization, technical evaluation and precise delivery of radiation plans
- maintain safety for patients and staff and support safety/compliance programs
- provide continuing physics support to the department of radiation oncology
- assist and provide coverage in instrumentation, equipment calibration, treatment planning, dosimetry, radiation protection and quality assurance
Key requirements- Master in Medical Physics
- CCPM Clinical Medical Physics Certification (Canada) or ABMP or ABR certification
- Medical Physicist in Training or board eligibility with certification within three years
- Therapeutic Radiological Physicist License or Florida TRP/MPT as required
