Overview

As Corporate Counsel at Axon, you join the contracts and corporate team to enable a rapidly growing global sales function. You will structure, negotiate, and review complex commercial agreements and scale legal processes to support growth. You partner with Sales, Supply Chain, Engineering, Product and IT to reduce risk and improve contract efficiency. You will lead a team of Contracts Managers and evolve the contract function to meet business needs. This role offers meaningful work at the intersection of technology, safety, and compliance.

Responsibilities
  • Provide legal advice on transactional matters for Axon's goods, services, and SaaS offerings
  • Structure, review, and negotiate high-volume commercial contracts
  • Supervise Contracts Managers and enforce Axon's risk standards
  • Develop and maintain contract templates, risk analyses, policies, and a contract lifecycle system
  • Lead processes to scale legal contracting support
  • Provide regulatory and compliance guidance as needed
  • Collaborate with attorneys, contracts managers, and admins to mentor and learn
Key requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of in-house (preferred) experience negotiating complex commercial contracts
  • Ability to structure, draft, and negotiate high-volume SaaS, hardware, and services contracts
  • Experience negotiating SaaS, IaaS and/or PaaS agreements
  • Ability to act with urgency and manage a large workload
  • JD and active membership in a U.S. state bar
  • Experience with AI to automate processes or build workflow applications
  • Experience negotiating international agreements
  • Strong process orientation and organizational skills
