Strategic Sourcing Manager

Overview

In this role you will lead end-to-end strategic sourcing for Sephora's Marketing & Advertising spend, aligning with diversity, risk, and sustainability goals. You'll partner with business stakeholders to define requirements, run RFIs/X events, and translate market insight into actionable sourcing roadmaps. You'll negotiate and finalize contracts, then hand off awarded work to partners, driving savings and value. Working across Creative, Influencer Marketing, Events, Production, and Media, you'll shape category strategies in a fast-paced retail environment. This is an opportunity to impact how Sephora partners with agencies and vendors to propel beauty at scale.

Responsibilities
  • Lead end-to-end strategic sourcing for projects, including market profiling, stakeholder alignment, and RFIs/X events
  • Score, gain, and document award decisions; conduct supplier negotiations and finalize contracts
  • Leverage market intelligence, spend analysis, and supplier insights to shape sourcing strategies and category recommendations
  • Support Intake-to-Contract process with decision-oriented updates outlining recommendations, tradeoffs, risks, and financial impact
  • Understand and map supply markets to build strategic roadmaps and optimize supplier capabilities
  • Assist Senior Manager with Marketing & Advertising category support (Creative agencies, Influencer marketing, Events, Production, Branded goods, Media) to unlock leverage spend opportunities and reduce total costs
Key requirements
  • 5+ years of end-to-end strategic sourcing experience
  • 5+ years of marketing category sourcing experience in a North American retail setting
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or equivalent experience
  • Advanced analytics, Excel, PowerPoint, data visualization, and sourcing tools skills
  • Hands-on experience with procure-to-pay, vendor management, and contract lifecycle management software
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder influence skills; strong project management in a fast-paced environment
