Talent Development Manager

Overview

In this role you drive talent development and learning strategies for the Wisconsin site, partnering with HR, leaders, and global teams to build capability and leadership. You'll translate people strategies into site learning plans, oversee IDPs and programs, and manage external vendors and budgets. You'll champion upskilling, succession planning, and compliance, aligning efforts with Merz Aesthetics' mission to foster a culture of continuous learning. This is a hands-on role at the intersection of learning, people, and business impact.

Responsibilities
  • Implement and manage talent management processes (internal mobility, promotions, career development)
  • Partner with HR and leaders to identify talent needs and recommended actions
  • Support succession planning and workforce capability-building with data-driven insights
  • Administer tuition assistance and employee development programs
  • Provide guidance on employee development and talent planning within established frameworks
  • Translate talent strategies into site-level learning plans and initiatives
  • Oversee IDPs and advise on career growth for managers and employees
  • Manage learning platforms, resources, and participation in programs
  • Measure program effectiveness and drive continuous improvements
  • Lead global L&D initiatives locally (e.g., MyMentor, Lumina, MSC) in coordination with Employee Experience
  • Manage external learning vendors and contracts, budgets, and logistics
  • Monitor ROI and participate in budgeting and forecasting for learning and talent development
  • Support onboarding, organizational effectiveness, and change management initiatives
  • Engage in talent development councils and cross-functional forums
  • Promote continuous learning and career growth through effective program delivery
Key requirements
  • Bachelor in Human Resources
  • 3-5 years in learning & development, talent management, or related field
  • Experience in training program design and delivery
  • Pharmaceutical or medical device industry experience is preferred
  • Strong facilitation and LMS administration experience
