Responsibilities- Lead and grow a team of frontend and backend engineers through coaching, feedback, career development, and hiring
- Own delivery for major customer-facing initiatives from concept through production
- Partner with Product Management, Design, Firmware, Mobile, and other teams to define roadmaps and execute goals
- Drive technical direction while empowering engineers to make architectural decisions
- Foster a culture of engineering excellence through code reviews, design discussions, testing, and operational discipline
- Help build highly reliable, observable, and scalable distributed systems
- Improve engineering processes, execution, and team health while maintaining high quality standards
- Participate in hiring and help build an exceptional engineering organization
Key requirements- 7+ years of professional software engineering
- 1+ years managing software engineers
- Experience building production software across frontend and backend
- Strong software architecture and system design skills
- Experience designing and operating distributed systems in production
- Demonstrated ability to lead large cross-functional technical projects
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to attract, hire, mentor, and retain exceptional engineers
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
