Overview As a Liquidity Strategy lead in Schwab's Treasury, you will shape the liquidity framework across the enterprise, including digital assets and emerging products. You'll collaborate with risk, treasury, and business partners to monitor liquidity, funding, and collateral needs while ensuring regulatory compliance. You will develop analytical frameworks to quantify liquidity requirements and drive end-to-end delivery of new initiatives. Your work supports informed decision-making at ALCO and with senior management, helping the firm manage liquidity risk in a dynamic market. Responsibilities- Develop liquidity strategies and analytical frameworks for emerging products (e.g., digital assets, tokenized securities, securities finance)
- Assess intraday liquidity, funding, and collateral implications of new business activities, including 24/7 trading
- Create methodologies to quantify liquidity needs and evaluate collateral eligibility and readiness for digital assets
- Own workstreams and deliverables for digital asset initiatives from ideation to implementation
- Design and implement monitoring metrics and reports on intraday liquidity
- Monitor trading activity to proactively identify emerging intraday liquidity risks
- Stay informed on macro, regulatory, and market-structure developments
- Prepare and review materials for ALCO, senior management, and Board committees
Key requirements- 6+ years in finance with 3+ years in liquidity risk for a Category IV or larger financial institution
- Deep knowledge of broker/dealer liquidity requirements (Series 27 preferred)
- Deep knowledge of bank liquidity requirements
- Experience with secured financing and collateral upgrade transactions
- Experience assessing liquidity risks for digital assets, blockchain, or tokenizationpreferred
- Experience with financial systems and financial data
