Overview In this role you will lead WD's FP&A vision, partnering with the executive team to shape long-range and short-range financial plans. You will own budgeting, forecasting, and executive performance reporting to drive profitability and capital allocation decisions. You'll provide rigorous analysis for strategic initiatives, acquisitions, and investments, translating strategy into actionable financial plans. This position sits at the intersection of finance and business growth, enabling scaling of WD's data infrastructure business and reinforcing cross-functional performance. Responsibilities- Collaborate with the executive team to develop strategic plans and annual budgets with tracking and reporting
- Establish spending levels and incentive programs to balance innovation with key operating metrics
- Develop forecasting methodologies to improve visibility into revenue, gross margin, OPEX, FCF, and capital requirements
- Provide financial analysis and decision support for major initiatives, investments, acquisitions, and capital allocation
- Translate corporate strategy into actionable financial targets and resource allocation decisions
- Guide reporting processes for executive dashboards, management packages, and Board materials
- Lead monitoring of operational metrics and drive productivity and efficiency improvements
- Conduct ad hoc financial analyses to support business decisions
- Perform peer reviews and competitive financial analysis with internal teams
- Support the quarterly earnings cycle with Investor Relations and Accounting, including narrative development
Key requirements- 15+ years in Finance, Accounting or related fields in technology
- Strong analytical and business acumen; ability to drive profitability and results
- Proven track record of process improvement and experience with financial systems
- Excellent communication and relationship-building at senior levels
