Overview

In this Manager role, you'll lead financial modeling and analytical work within Baker Tilly's CFO Advisory practice. You'll partner with CFOs, management, and investors to support forecasting, capital decisions, and transactions. You'll develop and refine financial models to guide strategic choices and oversee engagement delivery. This is a hands-on role that blends technical finance with clear client communication, offering impact across founder-owned businesses to PE-backed platforms. You'll join a team focused on turning data-driven insights into actionable finance strategies.

Responsibilities
  • Lead complex financial modeling engagements, including integrated 3-statement models, cash flow models, and scenario analyses
  • Translate client objectives into structured analytical approaches with defined drivers and outputs
  • Evaluate initiatives and financial options including capital raises, recapitalizations, acquisitions, and growth strategies
  • Support transaction-related engagements through pro forma modeling and deal-structure evaluation
  • Develop and oversee scenario and sensitivity analyses to assess risks and value drivers
  • Support design and implementation of forecasting processes, budgets, and management reporting
  • Review and refine models and client deliverables for accuracy and usability
  • Manage day-to-day engagement execution and coordination with internal teams
  • Communicate findings and recommendations to client stakeholders including senior management and lenders
  • Mentor and develop junior team members on modeling, analysis, and professional growth
Key requirements
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in financial advisory, investment banking, transaction services, or corporate FP&A
  • Advanced proficiency in financial modeling and building models from first principles
  • Strong understanding of financial statements and accounting concepts
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; ability to manage complex models
  • Experience with PowerPoint for client-ready presentations
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, client-service environment
  • Professional certifications (CPA, CFA, CMA, MBA) are a plus
  • Experience supporting transactions, capital structure analysis, or investment evaluation is preferred
