Controller

In this role you will take charge of project finance for a fast-moving commercial roofing business. You will clear accounting backlogs, strengthen reporting accuracy, and streamline day-to-day project and month-end processes. You'll oversee project-based accounting work while providing leadership and hands-on support in a lean, supervisory environment. This position offers a chance to improve controls, timelines, and financial insights that drive operational decisions.

• Oversee project-based accounting activities across active work (job setup, billing coordination, cost tracking, financial oversight).
• Accelerate resolution of outstanding items and restore timely workflows.
• Prepare and review project budgets, monitor variances, and support decision-making.
• Lead month-end close and ensure accurate financial records on schedule.
• Produce revenue reports and project-status summaries reflecting business performance.
• Identify gaps in processes and implement improvements for efficiency, consistency, and control.
• Contribute to daily transactional accounting while providing higher-level financial guidance.
• Support accounting system initiatives and adoption of updated tools or workflows.
