Overview

As a Data Center Construction Manager at AECOM, you will lead on-site construction activities for complex data center projects, ensuring alignment with design, budget, and schedule. You'll coordinate with clients, vendors, and field teams to drive safe, quality-focused delivery and issue resolution. This role sits within a global infrastructure team delivering cutting-edge facilities and scalable data center solutions. You'll shape project outcomes by managing controls, inspections, and closeout processes, contributing to a sustainable, resilient digital infrastructure.

Responsibilities
  • Manage all project activities from pre-construction through occupancy and warranty enforcement for multiple projects
  • Coordinate construction activities with client, vendors, and stakeholders
  • Understand scheduling milestones and construction means/methods; monitor progress and control documentation (RFI, submittals)
  • Provide technical direction, ensure compliance with design/budget/schedule/quality
  • Coordinate with General Contractor on tests, inspections, and deliverables to Owner and Architect
  • Review punch lists, ensure completion before substantial completion, and support pay applications
  • Participate in evaluations for A/E, GC, and vendors; monitor project budget and cost tracking
  • Secure necessary insurances and materials documentation for pay applications
  • Attend site meetings and liaise with Project Controls and other reviewers
  • Support project documentation and reports for cost and schedule validation
Key requirements
  • BA/BS plus 8 years of experience or demonstrated equivalency
  • on-site construction experience (10 years preferred)
