Overview In this role, you design and build automated test systems to qualify networking platforms for AWS at scale. You will own CI/CD-driven qualification pipelines and integrate test infra with lab and orchestration services. You'll work with cross-functional teams to improve reliability and reduce runtimes, shaping the network that underpins the AWS cloud. The role combines software engineering, test infrastructure, and network systems to enable rapid, safe releases.

Responsibilities- Design, build, and maintain automated test systems that scale across platforms and network roles
- Integrate test systems with lab infrastructure and orchestration services for device lifecycle management
- Own reliability and maintainability of components; reduce flakiness and shorten qualification times
- Enhance test coverage and effectiveness through creative, proactive testing
- Debug cross-layer failures spanning test infra, software, and hardware; drive root-cause analysis
- Collaborate with software, hardware, and networking teams to simulate complex real-world designs
- Elevate engineering quality through design/code reviews and mentoring
- Manage cross-team release-qualification dependencies when qualifying networking hardware platforms
Key requirements- Experience in networking, storage systems, operating systems, and hands-on systems engineering
- Experience building tools for building, testing, releasing or monitoring
- Experience with Linux/Unix
- 8+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 8+ years of programming in at least one modern language (C++, C#, Java, Python, Go, PowerShell, Ruby)
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field
