Overview In this HR Director role you lead a small HR team and act as a trusted partner to managers, guiding a full-spectrum HR function. You balance strategic people initiatives with hands-on execution to sustain a people-first culture. You will oversee benefits, onboarding/offboarding, and employee events while driving employee relations and culture-building. You'll analyze HR metrics to forecast needs and align HR support with business goals in a dynamic environment. Responsibilities- Lead and develop a small HR team, fostering a collaborative, service-oriented culture
- Partner with business unit leaders as an HR advisor on performance, employee relations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary matters
- Analyze HR metrics to identify opportunities and drive proactive solutions
- Oversee benefits and leave programs, ensuring compliance and consistency
- Manage onboarding, offboarding, records, and status changes; streamline workflows to reduce manual work
- Support payroll, benefits, and leave processes for timely execution; coordinate employee events and engagement
- Act as escalation point for complex cases andday-to-day HR issue resolution
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree; advanced degree preferred
- 10+ years of progressive HR experience with growth in scope
- Experience leading an HR team
- Proven HR Business Partner experience including coaching leaders and managing complex employee relations
- Knowledge of federal and state employment law and HR compliance
- Ability to translate HR data into actionable insights for senior leadership
- Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with HRIS platforms and Microsoft Office Suite
