Overview In this role you lead cost management for a major capital program, guiding a PMC-sized team and coordinating with clients, stakeholders, and consultants. Responsibilities- Lead cost management team and ensure delivery of all accountabilities
- Interface with client, stakeholders and consultants across project stages
- Maintain proactive client and consultant communications
- Perform quantity surveying, cost controls and change management throughout the lifecycle
- Coordinate strategic and operational management of Cost Management and Project Controls on large programs
- Act as first point of reporting on overall commercial status
- Drive best practices and improve procedures, templates, and products
- Undertake staff performance reviews and develop talent
- Utilize internal software to track margins, forecasts, and financial reports
- Develop KPI-based performance measurements and ensure delivery methodologies are followed
- Coordinate internal and external audits and ensure compliance
- Build client relationships and contribute to business development and proposals
- Provide weekly project updates and support management approvals
- Identify cross-selling opportunities and contribute to RFP responses
- Maintain knowledge management and input learnings into databases
- Promote a one-business culture and act as a brand ambassador
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Cost Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or related field
- 5-7 years in a cost management role within construction
- RICS accredited or working toward accreditation preferred
- Experience leading cost management on medium to large, complex projects
- Experience supporting manufacturing, life sciences, technology, industrial, or commercial construction projects preferred
- Strong understanding of procurement, value management, and value engineering
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
