Overview

In this role you will advance the Software, Small and Mid-Cap equity research coverage as part of Wells Fargo Markets. You will analyze company and industry data, build and update financial models, and produce differentiated research content alongside a Senior Analyst. You will engage with covered companies and industry contacts, presenting conclusions to internal and external audiences. The position emphasizes collaboration, compliance, and thoughtful risk management, with opportunities to shape cross-sector research.

Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate strong subject matter expertise in Software, Small & Mid-Cap; understand industry dynamics
  • Analyze financial statements and market data thoroughly
  • Create and maintain financial models and databases
  • Co-author differentiated research content with Senior Analyst
  • Attend company and industry events and build relationships with covered companies
  • Communicate research conclusions to internal and external stakeholders
  • Collaborate with research peers to develop cross-sector content
  • Exercise independent judgment while adhering to policies and compliance requirements
  • Collaborate with peers and managers to resolve issues and meet goals
Key requirements
  • 2+ years of Securities Research experience or equivalent
  • BS/BA or higher
  • Direct experience in the Software, Small and Mid-Cap sector or prior equity research coverage
  • Team player with ability to work across organizational levels
  • Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge of financial statement analysis
  • Knowledge of accounting principles in capital markets
  • Knowledge of Bloomberg or FactSet
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
