Overview In this ground floor PM role on Gusto's Business Money team, you own core fintech banking workstreams from onboarding to funding, shaping SMB banking within the payroll ecosystem. You'll partner across Product, Engineering, and Compliance to ship durable, compliant features that make cash flow and spending easier for small businesses. This is a high impact, AI driven opportunity to scale a banking platform at a company focused on helping owners grow. Responsibilities- Own and deliver core workstreams spanning small business banking including onboarding, account linking, funding, payments, and servicing
- Drive growth and adoption end-to-end from acquisition to funded, active accounts with continuous experimentation
- Own the business outcomes of your workstream and act as a true product owner
- Be the fintech infrastructure and payments expert, building durable, scalable systems
- Define how banking connects to the broader Gusto platform and make the account the default funding source
- Design for self-serve, anticipating friction and resolving it in-product
- Coordinate daily with cross-functional teams (Product, Engineering, Design, Data, Risk, Compliance, Legal, Ops) to ship compliant, delightful products
- Partner with external vendors (partner banks, banking infra providers, card processors) to deliver integrated experiences
- Deeply understand customers' cash flow and spending dynamics to craft effective product narratives
- Measure success with KPIs around account opening, funding, and deposit growth and use data to prioritize and iterate
Key requirements- 7+ years of product management experience in fintech, banking, or adjacent industries
- Hands-on familiarity with business banking, BaaS platforms, deposit products, or money movement rails
- Experience in taking a product from pre-beta to launch with limited resources
- Experience running an experimentation practice and learning from directional signals
- Understanding of regulatory and operational banking complexities and ability to partner with Risk, Legal, and Compliance
