Overview

In this MIT Engineer II role, you'll design and implement manufacturing processes and equipment for medium to large-scale projects. You collaborate across operations, RD&I, quality, and supply chain to drive improvements and ensure manufacturability and safety. You act as a change agent, leading with integrity and delivering scalable production solutions. The position offers cross-functional exposure and a path to impact production performance and process capability. You'll join a team focused on continuous transformation within Andersen's manufacturing ecosystem.

Responsibilities
  • Support commercialization and startup of new equipment and processes
  • Collaborate with operations, RD&I, quality, maintenance, and supply chain to drive improvements
  • Interface with design, product engineering, and supply chain on manufacturability and process capability
  • Provide recommendations on viability of new or current processes
  • Lead or participate in cross-functional meetings, kaizens, and Process System Design events
  • Apply DMAIC tools including process mapping, capability, FMEA, DOE, MSA, control plans
  • Develop specifications to procure production equipment and lines
  • Coordinate with Safety to meet corporate safety requirements
  • Create training tools, SOPs, and documentation for production processes
  • Introduce new perspectives to continuously improve production and material flow
  • Work independently on small projects or as part of larger projects
Key requirements
  • 4-year degree in Engineering or Technology
  • Minimum 3 years engineering experience with mechanical aptitude
  • Equipment procurement and capital project experience
  • Project management skills
  • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles
  • Knowledge of quality systems, SPC and process capability
  • Effective communication and relationship-building
  • 2D & 3D solid modeling preferred (AutoCad/Inventor)
