Overview

In this role you will own and optimize the EW manufacturing value chain, from design-for-manufacturability to production ramp. You collaborate with product and design teams to enable rapid, high-quality hardware delivery for electromagnetic warfare systems. You will drive continuous improvement, cost reduction, and scalable production for new and existing technologies. This position offers hands-on manufacturing, close cross-functional partnership, and impact on field-ready defense hardware.

Responsibilities
  • Own all or part of the EW manufacturing value chain (assembly, integration & test) for electro-mechanical assemblies
  • Lead Kaizen events and drive continuous improvement across production
  • Support RCCA burndowns with Product Quality Engineering to resolve issues
  • Provide DFx guidance for smooth NPI transitions with Design Engineering
  • Develop process flows and break down complex assemblies into subassemblies and subprocesses
  • Create work instructions, quality plans, and inspection requirements for scale-up
  • Collaborate with contract manufacturers (PCBA, harnesses, RF/microwave components) to establish repeatable, scalable processes
  • Work hands-on with technicians and engineers to build prototype hardware
  • Contribute to mechanical/electrical design of hardware including interconnects and board fabrication/inspection
Key requirements
  • Degree in a technical field preferred (engineering, math, or hard science)
  • 3+ years in manufacturing or electromechanical hardware design
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver hardware in resource-constrained environments
  • Experience with Harness or PCBA design review
  • Hands-on hardware fabrication experience (soldering, SMT, harnessing, box assembly)
  • Experience with JIRA, Siemens NX, Teamcenter (PLM), or Oracle (ERP) or equivalents
  • Strong interest in manufacturing and learning
  • U.S. Person required due to export-controlled information/access
