Overview In this role you will support federal facility assessment and hurricane recovery projects in Kauai by estimating repair scopes and pricing realistic solutions. You'll work with senior estimators, construction managers, and schedulers to compare options and document traceable assumptions. The position combines field insights with rigorous takeoffs to support timely, accurate project planning. Responsibilities- Prepare quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for building, utility, and infrastructure repair scopes
- Collect and evaluate vendor quotes, subcontractor pricing, and historical cost information
- Review drawings, field assessments, specifications, and scope narratives to identify estimate requirements
- Document assumptions, exclusions, unit rates, and changes to estimate versions
- Support cost comparisons, change evaluations, and reconciliation of contractor proposals
- Coordinate with construction, engineering, and scheduling teams to align estimate assumptions
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, quantity surveying, or a related field
- 4+ years of construction cost estimating for facilities, utilities, or infrastructure or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
- A valid driver's license and ability to pass MVR check
- US Citizenship required
