Overview In this role you will lead Angi's financial reporting and technical accounting function, ensuring US GAAP compliance and robust external reporting. You will partner with Legal, IR, and leadership to craft MD&A, disclosures, and earnings communications. You will stay ahead of changing accounting standards and strengthen internal controls and SOX. You will mentor a team and drive scalable improvements across the close process, leveraging automation and AI where appropriate.

Responsibilities- Prepare and file all SEC reports (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, proxy statements) with accuracy and on schedule
- Lead drafting and review of MD&A, disclosures, and earnings press releases in collaboration with Legal, IR, and executives
- Manage XBRL tagging and EDGAR submissions; monitor SEC rule changes and update disclosures accordingly
- Serve as primary point of contact for external auditors on SEC reporting and technical accounting matters
- Provide authoritative US GAAP guidance on complex areas (revenue recognition, equity compensation, leases, business combinations, goodwill, debt instruments)
- Research and document positions on new transactions and strategic deals; align with auditors and senior leadership
- Develop and maintain company-wide accounting policies; ensure consistent application across the organization
- Monitor new accounting standards (FASB/SEC) and prepare implementation plans; communicate implications to stakeholders
- Oversee SOX program, including control design, testing, remediation, and coordination with internal and external audits
- Lead, mentor, and develop accounting team; collaborate with FP&A, Legal, Tax, and Corporate Accounting; drive process improvements and automation across reporting and close cycle
Key requirements- 8-10 years of progressive accounting experience with SEC reporting and technical accounting in a public company or Big 4 firm
- CPA required
- Strong US GAAP and SEC reporting knowledge with hands-on experience in multiple complex areas
- Proven track record in managing and developing accounting teams
- Extensive SOX experience including internal controls design and evaluation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for diverse audiences (Board, Audit Committee, executives)
- Experience with Workiva and EDGAR filing systems
