Overview In this role you will lead a team on a major LNG construction project, directing superintendents and craft professionals to meet design, safety, and schedule targets. You will coordinate subcontract activities, ensure tools and resources are available, and oversee quality and adherence to project policies. You will work closely with engineers, foremen, and subcontractors to interpret design documents and implement solutions. This position offers the opportunity to shape on-site execution on a high-profile, heavy-industrial project with a focus on safety and performance.
Responsibilities- Lead and supervise craft teams (up to 50 workers)
- Schedule and monitor work progress by craft
- Determine workforce requirements and coordinate area plans
- Oversee tool and equipment usage and field material requisitions
- Ensure design documents and changes are correctly implemented
- Collaborate with Construction Field Engineers, Foremen, and subcontractors on technical issues
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8-10 years of relevant experience, or 12-14 years combined experience
- Knowledge of multi-disciplinary construction or engineering field operations
- Familiarity with Bechtel's safety philosophy and project ES&H documents
- Experience on LNG construction sites (preferred along the U.S. Gulf Coast)
- Heavy industrial direct-hire construction experience; oil, gas, refinery, petrochemical, minerals, or power plant exposure
- Computer literacy (word processing, spreadsheets, databases); working knowledge of industry codes and standards
