Overview In this role you'll design building electrical systems within a multidisciplinary team and drive project delivery from concept through construction. You'll support a growing Federal (Military/DoD) practice and other markets, contributing to decarbonization and electrification initiatives. You'll mentor junior staff, perform technical analyses, and engage with clients to ensure quality and on-time outcomes. Responsibilities- Lead electrical design from concept through construction administration and post-occupancy
- Perform calculations and routing engineering tasks for diverse projects
- Write internal/external reports based on findings
- Stay current with codes and technologies for power, lighting, telecoms, and fire alarm
- Research, design, specify, and witness testing of electrical systems and components
- Conduct site visits for data collection and evaluation of electrical systems
- Coordinate with clients and other disciplines, ensuring budget and schedule adherence
- Assist in proposal development and discipline plans with senior leadership
- Manage multiple projects, mentor junior staff, and review team work
- Present to owners, clients, and architects as needed
Key requirements- BA/BS in Electrical Engineering, Architectural Engineering or similar
- +6 years of related experience or equivalent
- Professional Engineer (PE) Registration
- Strong electrical code knowledge (NEC, WSEC, UFC, ASHRAE, IECC)
- Experience with building electrical systems design across multiple markets
- Federal project experience and knowledge of agency standards and procurement processes
- Excellent written and verbal communication

- Lighting calculation tools: Visual, AGI32, Elumtools
- Revit and CAD proficiency
